RIDEAU RECOGNITION SOLUTIONS ‘ADOPTS’ TOMMY LEE HAYES-BROWN

MONTREAL, QC, July 22, 2015 – Clarity of purpose, unity of vision, altruism, hard work – these are all attributes that Rideau Recognition Solutions identifies, recognizes and rewards in workplaces all over the world.
These traits are also closely associated with Tommy Lee Hayes-Brown, the new vice-president of business development and customer experience at Rideau.TL-min
“I met Tommy Lee in 2006 and I’ve witnessed firsthand over the years the many ways in which he encompasses these qualities – and more,” said Peter W. Hart, chief executive officer of Rideau. “On behalf of our board, management and employees, I’m delighted to welcome him to the Rideau Recognition team.”
For those who know Hayes-Brown, it will not come as a surprise that the Connecticut native, who now lives Charlotte, N.C., feels good about the new opportunities working with Rideau provides – especially his focus on building momentum behind Rideau’s growth in the United States and abroad. Rideau is a recognized thought leader in their field, working with various international Fortune 500 companies such as Boeing, Intel and RBC Financial.

“Helping people feel good about their job and building cultures that encourage people to do their best is my ultimate goal,” said Hayes-Brown. “It’s also something that is critical to the well-being of American workers which leads to a stronger company bottom line and, in turn, leads to a stronger economy. I’m excited to join Rideau and partner with a company that shares the same core values as myself.”
The MBA (marketing) graduate formerly served with MetLife Auto & Home in Charlotte, N.C., as the multicultural sales and service leader and corporate recognition chairperson. He also served on the board of directors with Recognition Professionals International (RPI) along with Peter Hart, Rideau’s CEO.

Hayes-Brown’s many strengths include: employee engagement and recognition strategies, corporate communication, market research and branding, diversity training, diverse marketing strategies and public speaking.
He intends to bring his unique experiences and insights from the client side of recognition to the services side. “Having spent many years on the client side of the table working with employee recognition companies gives me a well-rounded view of the needs of our clients. I know what solutions I wanted and needed when I was the client and plan to bring that experience and practical knowledge to the table with Rideau Recognition.”

Hayes-Brown has not only has made a name for himself in the corporate world, but he has shown that he shares the attributes he seeks in others in his home life. He earned this reputation when he and his wife, Sharon, adopted three boys (Oree, Zion and Isaiah) and then had a biological son, Solomon — then had their journey profiled on the Discovery Channel’s Adoption Stories program. His dedication to his family also caught the attention of the Oprah Winfrey show. He joined six other viewers for an intimate dinner with Oprah and actor Sidney Poitier to discuss Poitier’s book, “The Measure of a Man.”

Both his corporate life and his home life support and reinforce each other, he asserts.
“The concept of recognition is not a new one. It’s a basic human need to want to feel important, to feel like who you are and what you do matters. People want to know that they bring value and their voice is heard. Being a member of the recognition industry has definitely helped me with my parenting, my marriage and just the way I walk through life and interact with people.” And the way he does both is awe-inspiring.
